The Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition 2019 featuring 2019 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Abiy Ahmed Ali has been created in cooperation with celebrated photographer Finbarr O’Reilly. The official opening of the Exhibition at the Nobel Peace Center, sponsored by 5th Element Group, is December 11 — with the public opening scheduled the following day. A 5th Element Foundation Delegation will celebrate by participating in Nobel Peace Prize festivities in Oslo that week.
5th Element is co-hosting the largest gathering ever of financial advisors and impact investing professionals to discuss the latest issues and trends surrounding Sustainable, Impact, and ESG (“Environmental, Social, and Governance”) Investing at the UN Headquarters in New York City, as well as Roundtable discussions and 5th Element Foundation community receptions and meals. A 5th Element and 5th Element Foundation Delegation will be participating in the full schedule of events.
OC is an unconference in Mexico every October which brings together 500 changemakers from across sectors and geographies all working to alleviate poverty and injustice. 5th Element has partnered with OC this year and will be bringing 25 Fellows delegates — one of whom could be you!
5th Element Group PBC, Gitterman Wealth Management, and Family Office Insights are co-hosting the inaugural SDG Family Office Summit at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City on September 5, 2019. The event is a private gathering of 300 guests representing the Family Office community, as well as leading experts in the areas of ESG, Impact, and Climate Change.
Delegates will gather in Salt Lake City at the Leonardo Museum for the 6th Annual UN Civil Society Conference, focused on building inclusive and sustainable cities and communities. There will be a featured Roots of Peace exhibit, an extraordinary organization that turns land mines into bountiful and economical vineyards and farms, led by Heidi Kuhn, a 5th Element Foundation member.
Delegates will gather at the UN to bring their expertise in blockchain, AI, policy, city planning and scaled impact together to discuss ways to use frontier technologies for the benefit of humanity at the second annual Blockchain for Impact Summit. This collaboration will facilitate collaboratory initiatives relating to each of the SDGs.
Art and creative expression are essential as we collectively pursue a change in the world. That is why we are excited to share that 5th Element Group’s Chief Impact Officer, Elissa Fisher Harris, is among 12 others who have been announced as Canales Project Hear Her Song Honorees, along side Malala and Gloria Steinem. These are unique songs inspired by the words and lives of each honoree and written by leading female songwriters and composers, led by the world renowned opera singer, Carla Canales.
5th Element Group is co-hosting a session at Skoll World Forum with Conveners.org focused on SDGs 4 (Education), 5 (Gender Equality) and 14 (Life Under Water) and how we can collectively get things done towards these goals! Delegates will be joining for several other Skoll events, surrounding Ecosystem Events and special 5th Gatherings.
The DOW Confab is an interactive workshop to unlock the urgent and important challenges in achieving SDG 5: Gender Equality. Dive deep and create the path forward with entrepreneurs, brand and NGO leaders, impact investors, and philanthropists. Together we will kick off an effort to catalyze human and financial capital for high leverage solutions for gender equality (SDG 5) as part of the SDG Impact Circle’s partnership with Conveners.org and the Convening17 initiative.
The NYC DOW Confab will be a private gathering supporters of SDG 5 to hear from Elissa Fisher Harris, Chief Impact Officer and Co-Chair of the Decade Of Women, on what was accomplished in 2018 and our collective trajectory for 2019 and beyond. Together, the delegation will go to the 6th Annual Power of Collaboration Global Summit at the United Nations, led by Janet Salazar, another Co-Chair of the Decade Of Women.
The ILC is a platform for India’s leaders of today and tomorrow, celebrating, in particular, the nation’s top female leaders and entrepreneurs. In an effort to inspire, engage and cultivate a global perspective, intercultural empathy and emotional intelligence in the next generation of leaders, there will be a variety of global thought leaders and speakers, inspiring multi-dimensional dialogue around the opportunities for approaching solutions to long-standing global challenges.
5th Element and Templum are serving as Co-Sponsors of London Blockchain Week, February 8-14, where over 3000 participants are expected to participate throughout the span of the event. Leaders of the top ventures in blockchain will be gathered and new companies will be featured. For 2019, the week will kickoff with the Blockchain Hackathon followed by a 2-day conference/expo, then workshops and evening events with sponsors and partners.
Iceland, being the leading nation for gender equity for nine consecutive years, is the natural choice as a host location for this year’s final Decade Of Women gathering. This event will gather leaders in gender equity from Iceland and the Norwegian nations, alongside SDG Impact Fund global delegates, to create steps for change that will help us reach our SDG targets — by leveraging frontier technology with a strong account on the need for women leadership. We anticipate historic announcements will be made and strategic collaborations will be forged.
The U.S. Department of State, in close collaboration with event co-host, 5th Element Group PBC, hosted a three-day, partnership-building accelerator program that brought together selected stakeholders of public-private partnerships to help build the framework for a collaborative of religious freedom initiatives.
5th Element was engaged by the State Department’s Boldline Accelerator because of its track record in orchestrating “omniwin partnerships”. The trainings and collaborations were unprecedented in support of the cause of religious freedom.
